Cast your mind back to February of last year and chances are slim but you might recall EA’s Project Ten Dollar. Project Ten Dollar was the company’s attempt to grapple with the second hand market. It launched alongside Mass Effect 2, if memory serves, and rewarded gamers that bought the game encased in a shiny sealed wrapper with The Cerberus Network content. The Cerberus stuff wasn’t worth one lone dollar, let alone 10 big ones, but the whole ordeal saw EA acting with romantic intention nonetheless, courting loyal gamers in lieu of punishing second-hand buying rascals.
